General
definition of oil: it
is
called lubricant or oil is used to
move material simply because of
decreasing the friction power between two solid material.
Oils are
classified two groups by production ways.
1.
Synthetic oil
2.
Mineral oil
Synthetic oil:
Synthetic oil is oil consisting of chemical compounds which were not
originally present in crude oil (petroleum), but were artificially made
(synthesized) from other compounds. Where mineral oil is not used,
synthetic oil is used into place instead of the oil.
Mineral oil: Mineral
oil or liquid petrolatum is a by-product in the distillation of
petroleum to produce gasoline.
Waste oil: The definition of waste oil or used oil is used oil of vehicles and used oil in industry.Used oil is any oil that has been refined from crude oil or any synthetic oil that has been used and as a result of such use is contaminated by physical or chemical impurities..
The statute of waste oil control has become valid on 21.01.2004 at official gazette. It is forbidden with the statute to spilling waste oil into environment and burning waste oil.
How does waste oil form?Oil through use or handling, has become unsuitable for its original purpose due to the presence of impurities or loss of original properties.
During normal use, impurities such as dirt, metal scrapings, water, or chemicals can get mixed in with the oil,
so
that in time the oil no longer performs
well.
Eventually, this
used oil must be replaced with virgin or re-refined oil.
Why
is
waste oil hazardous?
How
is Used
Oil recycled?

Once oil has been used, it can be collected, recycled, and used over and over again.
Generally, the definition of recycling is a reprocess of used oil into
re-use oil.
The
first category waste oil can be recycled with regeneration and
re-refinery.
* Re-refinery,
which involves treating used
oil to remove impurities so that it can be used as a base stock for new
lubricating oil. Re-refining prolongs the life of the oil resource
indefinitely. The waste oil is recycled with distillation and acid-clay
refinery process. The distillation process include to collapse,
heating,
vacuum, filtration and centrifugal. Big particles in waste oil are
collapsed in
collapse tank. After that, the oil is heated; water and volatile
hydrocarbons
are removed by vacuum.
